OPTION A - PRO AUTHOR

WORLDWIDE DISTRIBUTION

1. Complete availability to bookstores through Ingram Books, largest wholesale dealer in the US. Ingram will show 100 copies in stock at all times.
2. Availability through other major distributors such as Barnes and Noble, Baker and Taylor, etc.
3. Availability in UK, and Europe, through Amazon. Printed and distributed in Europe.
4. Listed on-line with St. Clair Publications, Amazon.com, and others, and Amazon.ca in Canada.
5. Choice of hardback or paperback editions.
6. Choice of white or cream paper.
7. Print to order, so you can order at author's cost any number of books you want.
8. Drop shipping to retail outlets directly from the printer.
9. Ability to advertise and promote at low cost in Ingram's catalogue to bookstores.
10. All inquires answered promptly via Email. Your concern is our concern.

• Initial interior file must be in Microsoft Word and contain the official St.Clair Publications copyright page.
• Before publication, all fonts must be fully embedded PDF format.
• “If you choose to format your own book, please read this” for submission requirements.
• Files must be sent to St.Clair Publications via email or on CD. Non compliable files will be rejected.

Example:

Author orders 500 books for retail sales. A 250 page small paperback will retail for $17.95. Author cost is $6.04 per book. With 20% discount, author pays $3,020 X .80 or only $2,416, or only $4.632 per book. 500 books at $17.95 per book is $8,975. Profit to author - $6,559.

Author may also order and have books drop shipped to retail outlets.

Example:

Bookstore orders 100 of 250 page $17.95 title. Author allows maximum of 40% bookstore discount. With 5% discount, cost to author is $5.738 per book, or $573.80. Store pays author $10.77 per book, or $1,077. Profit to author, $503.20.

Ingram purchases books for true wholesale at 55% discount off retail and retains 15% for their services. Bookstores order at 40% discount. Printing cost will average 35% of retail. Author will receive 10% of retail on all Ingram bookstore orders.

Example:

250 page paperback book retailing for $17.95. Author receives $1.80 royalty on each book sold to a bookstore through Ingram Books. 1,000 books shipped to bookstores will net the author $1,800.

You will receive 65% of all monies received by St.Clair Publications from Amazon and other outside sites. This does not mean total retail, but what we are paid by these sources. You will receive 40% of retail moniies received for sales on St.Clair Publications site. This excludes any money for mailing.

If books are returned by bookstores ordering from Ingram, and chargeback is made, author will be charged full amount charged to St. Clair Publications, and author will receive any books returned.

OPTION B - INTRODUCTIOARY AUTHOR

Your book will then be placed on your own individual page located on the St.Clair Publications web site, and well as on Amazon.com. It is highly possible that your book will also be picked up by other on-line book sellers, and renters. On Amazon.com readers may write reviews which may aid in increased sales. Meta tags will be used to draw potential buyers to your book.

Your royalty will be 40% of the retail price of all on-line sales on St.Clair Publications and 65% of monies received by St. Clair Publications from sales on Amazon and other sites.

Let's look at an example book. This example shows how the royalty is calculated with our Standard Plan. The sample is a black and white book with 150 pages. The author has set the list price as $16.00.
